TVU – On November 19, 2022, more than 500 students gathered at Hall D5, Campus 1, Tra Vinh University to attend the cultural program to celebrate the opening ceremony of the school year 2022-2023 and the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 19). November 20, 1982 – November 20, 2022) combined with awarding scholarships to students who overcome difficulties in a joyful atmosphere with many unique and exciting performances.
Attending the program were the presence of Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Vice Chairman of the Advisory Council; Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Rector of the University, representatives of the Executive Board of Tra Vinh Provincial Youth Union, sponsors, individuals and businesses.
Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Rector of the University, would like to thank businesses and sponsors at home and abroad for accompanying us throughout the journey of establishment and development of the University. On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, I would like to congratulate all delegates, teachers, students, and students of the whole school with good health and success. At the same time, the Vice Rector praised the achievements of students, students and youth union members of the whole school in a series of activities to celebrate November 20 this year. The Vice Rector hoped that in the coming time, pupils, students and units would continue to accompany and contribute to the development of the Youth Union movement and the University’s Student Union to develop strongly.
The program performed musical performances with diverse genres such as: duet, group singing, dance, singing and dancing, modern dance… with the content praising the Party, Uncle Ho, praising the love of the homeland and the country. , teachers and school roofs.
On this occasion, the Youth Union and Student Union of Tra Vinh University held a traditional sports festival to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vietnam Teachers’ Day (November 20, 1982 – November 20, 2022) and successfully celebrate the University of Vietnam. The 11th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Tra Vinh province, term 2022 – 2027.
The sports festival took place from October 29 to November 18, 2022 attracting more than 500 athletes from units under the Youth Union, the University’s Student Union to participate in competitions including: Football male and female students; Volleyball boys – girls; Team badminton; Mobile Union Tournament and competition “Students and students fitness”.
The Organizing Committee of the Sports Festival awarded 07 First Prizes, 07 Second Prizes, 07 Third Prizes, 07 Consolation Prizes for all categories and 02 excellent individuals in the male and female student football tournament. In addition, the affiliated units also organize many activities at the unit to create an exciting atmosphere for the whole school’s students.
On this occasion, the Intellectual Charity Foundation; Nguyen Thai Binh Heroic Martyrs Scholarship Fund; Fondation de la Chenelière Scholarship of Prof. Vo Van Truong; Scholarship for French charity organization “Les Amis de France”; Group of Vietnamese Alumni at Los Banos University (Philippines); Thai Binh Bracelet Scholarship of Mr. Tran Khanh Tuyet.
Viet Dang Dental Joint Stock Company (Ho Chi Minh City); Tzu-Chi Taiwan Charity in Vietnam and Bao Minh Tra Vinh Company donated 30 million VND to the University’s scholarship fund for 156 students who overcome difficulties in their studies. The total value of the scholarships is over 900 million VND.
