TVU – The Trade Union of Tra Vinh University held the ‘Kheo tay hay lam’
contest and a meeting in the morning of March 8, 2023, to commemorate the 113th anniversary of International Women’s Day (March 8, 1910 – March 8, 2023) and to welcome the 7th Trade Union Congress of Tra Vinh University and the 11th Trade Union Congress of Tra Vinh Province for the term 2023–2028.
Mr. Tran Hoan Kim, Chairman of the Advisory Council; Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice
Rector of the University; and Mr. Nguyen Nhat Thanh, Chairman of the Grassroot
Trade Union of Tra Vinh University, were present at the event, along with the
Executive Board of the Trade Union, leaders of units, and representatives of union
members.
On this special occasion, Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University,
offered the best wishes to all female officials and employees, acknowledging their
significant contributions to the overall growth of Tra Vinh University.
In addition, the ‘Kheo tay hay lam’ contest, which means ‘adroit and diligent’, took
place in a joyful and exciting atmosphere. This was an opportunity for union members
to showcase their talents. The contest consisted of three categories: garnishing folk
desserts, garnishing fruit platters, and arranging flowers. It attracted a large number of
contestants, with nearly 100 individuals and teams from trade union groups.
According to Mr. Nguyen Nhat Thanh, Head of the Grassroot Trade Union of Tra
Vinh University, the teams demonstrated their creativity by entering the competition
with unique and meaningful works that they created with agility and ingenuity.
Several grandiose works were created to honor the beauty of women. In the end, 21
awards were given to the contestants and teams.
