The Civil Engineering Technology program is designed in line with the university’s mission and incorporates input from various stakeholders, including businesses, scientists, alumni, and faculty.
Training objectives
The program provides students with a strong foundation of knowledge and skills, preparing them to achieve significant professional milestones within a few years of graduation. Key objectives include training students to lead the design and quality assessment of construction projects according to industry standards and environmental, economic, and social conditions. Graduates are also prepared to provide consulting for construction design and to manage construction investment projects. 🏗️
Program duration
Students earn a Bachelor of Civil Engineering Technology in 4.5 years. The program consists of 9 semesters and requires 158 credits.

We welcome applicants from within Vietnam and from other countries. The admission process follows the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and Tra Vinh University.

Learning outcomes
Graduates of the Civil Engineering Technology program can apply knowledge of mathematics, natural sciences, social sciences, politics, law, and environmental and national security to their professional work. They can combine their knowledge of mechanics, material strength, geology, and technical drawing to design civil and industrial construction projects and evaluate project documents. Students learn to conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments, and then analyze the results to improve design processes. They can organize the construction of civil and industrial projects and assess the quality of building materials. The program also develops essential skills in communication, teamwork, leadership, information technology, and scientific research. Graduates can work independently, think critically, engage in lifelong learning, and adhere to laws with a strong sense of professional responsibility and ethics.
Scholarship opportunities
Students can receive scholarships according to the university’s general policies, including awards for the valedictorian and salutatorian. Annual scholarships are also available for students with good academic standing or those facing difficult circumstances. Notably, female students in this program receive a special scholarship equivalent to 50% of their tuition fees.
Career opportunities
Graduates of the Civil Engineering Technology program can take on various roles in the industry. They can work in direct construction, technical supervision, design consulting, construction inspection, and topographical surveying. Graduates also find employment in government construction management agencies, such as Project Management Boards at all levels, Departments of Finance, Departments of Construction, and People’s Committees, as well as in private companies operating in the construction sector.
Postgraduate opportunities
Graduates are qualified to pursue higher education, including Master’s and PhD degrees, in civil engineering or other related fields at universities in Vietnam and abroad. They can also participate in national and international scientific conferences in the construction field.
