Delegation of the Departments of Education, Youth and Sports of Svay Rieng province and Ta Keo province, the Kingdom of Cambodia visited and worked at Tra Vinh University

(TVU) – From January 7 to January 9, the delegation of the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of Svay Rieng and Ta Keo provinces, together with leaders of high schools of Svay Rieng province, visited and worked at Tra Vinh University.

Welcoming the delegation were Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice-Rector of the University, Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, former Vice-Rector, Vice Chairman of the Advisory Council, representatives of leaders of departments, faculties, institutes, and centers of Tra Vinh University and representative of Cambodian students studying and researching at the University.

Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice-Rector of Tra Vinh University, reviewed some outstanding achievements of Tra Vinh University in accrediting international education quality according to FIBAA, AUN-QA standards, ABET, WURI Rankings, and UI GreenMetric Rankings. She also shared: “Tra Vinh University always supports and creates the best conditions for Cambodian students to come to study and research.”

At the meeting, the parties exchanged a number of issues related to international enrollment cooperation, joint training programs, human resource training, enrollment information, scholarship policies, and the admission process. Coordinate training short-term and long-term courses to create conditions for teachers and students of the two provinces to study and research at the University, thereby contributing to tightening the solidarity and friendship between the two countries.

Ms. Sary Phally, Deputy Director of the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of Ta Keo province, highly appreciated the school’s facilities, training programs and quality. At the same time, she acknowledged the University’s interest in the learning condition of Cambodian students in recent years. Besides, she expressed her willingness to cooperate with Tra Vinh University in training, scientific research, and career counseling at the high schools of Ta Keo province.

Visiting and encouraging Cambodian students, Ms. Sary Phally hoped that Cambodian international students would try their best to study well to bring their knowledge to serve their homeland, and contribute to the country’s development.

Ms. Hem Ratana, Deputy Director of Svay Rieng Department of Education, Youth and Sports, said that Tra Vinh University had the potential to develop quality human resource education and training not only in the country but also in the international area. The Department of Education, Youth and Sports of Svay Rieng province would support and create favorable conditions for students to access educational training at Tra Vinh University.

Ms. Hem Ratana hoped that the school’s leaders would consider giving more scholarships and training in Vietnamese language programs so that students of Svay Rieng province had good conditions when coming to Tra Vinh University to study and research.

Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, former Vice Rector, Vice Chairman of the Advisory Council of Tra Vinh University, shared: “The opinions of leaders of the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of Svay Rieng and Ta Keo provinces suggested orientations for Tra Vinh University in international enrollment in Cambodia and opened up many cooperation opportunities to help Cambodian students easily access advanced training programs at Tra Vinh University.”

Mr. Nguyen Dong Khoi, Deputy Head of the International Admission Board, shared information about the admission and scholarship policy of the University.

Mr. Pol Savuth, Rector of Bavet General and Technical High School, asked questions about training professions and scholarship policies to the International Admissions Advisory Board.

On this occasion, the delegation visited Tra Vinh University, the school’s Odonto-Stomatology Clinic, Tra Vinh University Hospital, experienced some art and cultural exchange activities, and visited the learning and living environments of Cambodian students at the Dormitory.
