Program objectives
The Early Childhood Education program provides students with basic knowledge of social sciences, politics, law, and IT, and teaches them to plan, organize, and manage professional activities in the field. The program also equips students with the necessary skills to solve problems in the care and education of preschool children; to lead, start businesses, and create jobs. They learn to think critically, evaluate work quality, and communicate solutions in the workplace. Furthermore, the program trains students to work independently or in teams, taking personal and group responsibility, guiding others, and managing resources effectively. They can also self-direct, form professional conclusions, and defend their personal viewpoints.
Program duration
The Bachelor of Early Childhood Education is a 3.5-year program, which includes 7 semesters and 125 credits.
Target applicants
The program admits students from both within and outside the country, following the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the specific rules of Tra Vinh University.

Learning outcomes
Regarding knowledge, graduates can apply basic knowledge of natural and social sciences, politics, and law to their professional work. They can use foreign language skills (level 3/6) and IT in teaching. They apply foundational knowledge in subjects like Vietnamese, arts, music, and math, as well as psychology and pedagogy, to care for and evaluate children’s development. Graduates can apply modern teaching theories to implement an integrated curriculum for children’s comprehensive growth. They have knowledge of child care to ensure hygiene and safety and can design safe, healthy, and creative educational environments.
In terms of skills, graduates can perform professional pedagogical skills such as planning for children’s health and care, teaching life skills, evaluating development, and managing class groups. They can creatively use arts to organize the educational environment. They can use English in educating children and can apply IT to create electronic lectures and support care activities. They also learn to conduct scientific research, build cooperative relationships with parents and the community, and use critical and creative thinking to solve problems effectively.

Career opportunities after graduation
Graduates can work as preschool teachers in various types of schools, including those using international programs. They can be lecturers at faculties that train preschool teachers in pedagogical schools. They can work as early childhood education science experts at centers, institutes, and education companies. They can also be early childhood education specialists at various levels, or managers at public and private preschool education institutions.
Postgraduate opportunities
After graduating, students have the full capacity to continue their studies. They can participate in short-term training courses in the Education field in Vietnam and abroad. They can pursue a second bachelor’s degree in a related major. They can also enroll in postgraduate programs (Master’s, Ph.D.) in Early Childhood Education or Education Management at universities in Vietnam or abroad.
