In the morning of 25/5/2011 at Hall of Faculty of Fishery and Agriculture, school board of TVU honored to welcome the inspection team of Education Central Council for Defense and Security by Lieutenant General, Dr. Vo Tien Trung – Central Party member, Director Defense Academy, Councilor of Education Central Council for Defense and Security as the head of the team to work at TVU. Accompanying delegation was Mr. Leo Phu Dieu- Vice President of Vietnam Farmers’ Association, Brigadier Nguyen Xuan Ti, Deputy Commander, Vice Chairman of Education Central Council for Defense and Security IX and its members. Toward Tra Vinh Council for Defense and Security Ms. Son Thi Anh Hong – Deputy Chairman of Tra Vinh, Chairman of Tra Vinh Council for Defense and Security and other members of the Council. TVU representatives were Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh – Party Secretary, Rector, MA. Nguyen Tien Dung – Vice Party Secretary, Vice Rector, director of the Center of Student Education in Defense and Security, leaders of the Offices, Faculties and Centers attended the reception.
The content of the working group was to examine the results of the implementation work at the Center of Student Education in Defense and Security Center of TVU, through which suggestions to overcome those limitations, propose solutions help the inspected unit to organize and perform better, helping Education in Defense and Security into order and discipline.
Reporting at the meeting, MA. Nguyen Tien Dung presented the working results of the Center since its establishment (in 2010) until now, the process of training students, the classroom situation, armed with military equipment and ammunition, guns etc serving teaching affairs as well as the difficulties and limitations of the university and proposed development direction of the Center in the future.
The group examined the education defense – security knowledge for staff members and students of the School by direct survey of knowledge of 50 students and teachers, and checked the legal documents, the process of testing, the curriculum, lesson plans, training plans, facilities for teaching, testing skills and operation of teachers at the training yard.
Speaking at the meeting, Lieutenant General, Dr. Vo Tien Trung has highly appreciated the education defense – security of the school, organization, teaching staff, equipment for teaching, yards etc which meeting training needs of teaching and learning of students, Lieutenant-General proposed the school continue to promote these advantages. Besides, Dr. Vo asked the institution should invest in building dormitories for students of the center, teachers need to teach correctly the content in the prepared lesson plan to educate accurately and unify all regulations, the general policy of the Party and State, and also suggested the school always facilitate for teachers of training center to improve their knowledge and professional skills for teaching better and better.
On behalf of TVU, PhD. Pham Tiet Khanh noted the comments of the evaluation team work and undertook to early overcome the limitations so that the Center of Student Education in Defense and Security grow more, completing perfectly tasks of education and raising awareness defense and security for generations of school students, contributing to political stability, social order and safety, building the country growing and prosperous.
