The Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology program at Tra Vinh University uses a career-oriented approach (CDIO) to meet the needs of employers and the community. The program provides students with the professional knowledge and skills in the electrical and electronics field to meet the demands of scientific and technical development in the context of Industry 4.0.
Program Duration
Students earn a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology in 4 years. The program consists of 8 semesters and requires 153 credits.

We welcome applicants from within Vietnam and from other countries. The admission process follows the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and Tra Vinh University.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
Graduates can apply modern knowledge, techniques, and skills from mathematics, natural sciences, social sciences, law, environmental protection, and national security to solve general problems in electrical and electronic engineering technology. They can analyze the technical and electrical safety factors in electrical and electronic systems. This includes calculating relevant parameters in circuits, identifying electrical safety factors for equipment and machines, and analyzing the technical characteristics of devices and systems.
Skills
Graduates can design power supply networks and automatic control systems for both residential and industrial applications. They can conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments to analyze and interpret results, leading to improved operation of circuits and equipment. They can also research and apply new technologies and techniques in the electrical and electronics field. The program develops strong skills in written, oral, and graphical communication. Students learn to work effectively independently and in teams, often taking on leadership roles. They can use English in technical and non-technical work environments and develop skills in critical thinking, self-study, and personal development.

Graduates demonstrate a professional work ethic, a strong sense of civic responsibility, and high professional ethics.
Scholarship and Experience Opportunities
Students can receive scholarships according to the university’s general policies, including awards for the valedictorian and salutatorian. Annual scholarships are also available for students with good academic standing or those facing difficult circumstances. Notably, female students in this program receive a special scholarship equivalent to 50% of their tuition fees.
In addition, students have the opportunity to participate in national science and technology competitions such as MECA, MiniCar, and Robocon, along with other scientific and technical activities.
Career Opportunities
After graduating, engineers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology can work in a variety of companies, organizations, and factories. These include thermal, wind, and solar power plants, manufacturing plants in industrial zones, and research institutes and universities throughout the country. Specific roles include working as a technical staff member with the ability to manage professional tasks, a research engineer at a company or institute, or a design, operation, maintenance, and installation engineer for electrical and electronic systems. Graduates can also become technical trainers for workers and students or start their businesses in the field.
Postgraduate Opportunities
Graduates have the qualifications to advance their education by taking short-term courses, pursuing a second bachelor’s degree, or enrolling in Master’s and PhD programs. They can study Electrical Engineering, Automation, or other related fields at universities in Vietnam and abroad.
