TVU – The TVU Council has announced the decision to establish the School of Economics and Law at the ceremony for the academic year 2022–2023.
On November 20, Tra Vinh University held the Opening Ceremony of the school year 2022-2023 and the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day on November 20 (November 20, 1982 – November 20, 2022). During the opening ceremony of the school year 2022-2023, Tra Vinh University announced the decision of the School Council on the establishment of the School of Economics and Law.
Tra Vinh University currently has more than 20,000 students from the Mekong Delta provinces as well as domestic and Cambodian students studying; with more than 26 training majors at the graduate level, nearly 60 majors at the university level and many other short-term training programs.
Being a university in the Mekong Delta with many programs accredited for international education quality in accordance with AUN-QA, FIBA, and ABET standards, Tra Vinh University made outstanding efforts in the academic year 2021–2022, had 13 training programs that met these standards.
TVU has consistently placed in the Top 100 of the WURI Ranking 2022, has a positive impact on society; TVU has ranked in the Top 200 of the UI GreenMetric Ranking of green, friendly, and sustainable universities; TVU had been awarded excellent digital transformation award in 2022.
Rector of Tra Vinh University Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa encouraged staff, professors, and students to strengthen international accreditation, successfully implement an advanced university model, and improve training and cooperation on a global scale, economic growth, the advancement of applied scientific research, community service, and the maintenance and improvement of position in global rankings.
At the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thien Nhan – former Politburo member, former Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee awarded 24 scholarships to students of Tra Vinh University, totaling 72 million VND. Accompanying with the school during the past time, sponsors, domestic and foreign scientists have contributed and awarded 165 scholarships totaling more than 1 billion VND to the university’s students on the night of November 19, 2022.
