The Finance and Banking program is accredited by the international quality assurance standard FIBAA.
Training Objectives
The banking program has an application-oriented design that meets the needs of employers and the community. The program provides students with foundational knowledge of social sciences, political science, law, information technology, and foreign languages. It teaches them to plan, organize, supervise, and manage professional activities in the finance and banking sector. Graduates can apply their deep and extensive knowledge and skills to their professional work. The program also develops their ability to work independently or in teams in changing environments, taking personal and group responsibility while respecting the law. Graduates can think critically, evaluate work quality, and communicate complex problems and solutions effectively. They also gain essential skills to solve complex problems, manage resources, and improve operational efficiency. The program fosters a progressive spirit, cooperation, and international integration.
Program Duration
Students earn a Bachelor of Finance and Banking in 3.5 years. The program consists of 7 semesters and requires 122 credits.

We welcome applicants from within Vietnam and from other countries. The admission process follows the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and Tra Vinh University.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
Graduates can apply basic knowledge of political science, law, national defense, and environmental protection to act correctly in their lives and careers. They can use foreign language skills equivalent to level 3/6 of the Vietnamese framework (B1 level) and basic IT for communication, negotiation, and professional work in the finance and banking sector. They link their foundational knowledge of the industry to solve specialized problems. Graduates also connect their basic knowledge of business administration, accounting, monetary banking, and marketing to address practical issues related to the finance and banking field. They can use their in-depth knowledge for professional tasks such as capital mobilization, lending, guarantees, factoring, financial leasing, and other related services.
Skills
Graduates can measure the financial capacity of both individual and corporate clients. They can assess the market for financial and banking products and services. They use communication and negotiation skills to advise customers on suitable financial products. Graduates can analyze the financial activities of businesses, banks, and credit institutions. They can also perform various banking operations, propose risk control solutions, and predict domestic and international financial market fluctuations to make investment decisions.

Career Opportunities
After graduating, students can take on various jobs in the finance and banking sector. They can work in banks as tellers, accountants, or specialists in areas like credit, international payments, foreign exchange trading, capital management, and financial consulting. They can also work in businesses and non-bank financial institutions as finance specialists, investment analysts, financial consultants, or portfolio managers. Additionally, graduates can become researchers or lecturers in finance and banking at research institutions and universities.
Postgraduate Opportunities
After graduating, students in the Finance and Banking program are qualified to advance their education. They can participate in short-term training courses in finance and banking, both in Vietnam and abroad. They can also pursue a second bachelor’s degree in a related major. Furthermore, graduates are eligible to enroll in Master’s and PhD programs in Finance and Banking at universities nationally and internationally.
