Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thái Sơn – Dean of School of Engineering and Technology, Tra Vinh University, had a meeting with Prof. Doctor of Science Nguyễn Tiến Khiêm – President of Vietnam Mechanics Association about scientific research and preparation to participate in the annual mechanical Olympiad competition.

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Tiến Khiêm shared the necessity of participating in the Mechanics Olympics, co-organized by the Vietnam Mechanics Association and the Vietnam Student Association.
Accordingly, the National Mechanics Olympic aims to promote the study and research of Mechanics subjects, discover and encourage young talents in Mechanics among students, and at the same time encourage the teaching and learning of Mechanics subjects at universities and colleges in general, and Tra Vinh University in particular.
The Mechanics Olympic is held annually with 07 traditional essay subjects: Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Structural Mechanics, Hydraulics, Soil Mechanics, Machine Principles, and Machine Detail. In 2023, the National Mechanics Olympic will take place at Vinh Long University of Technical Education.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thái Sơn said: “The School of Engineering and Technology will direct and encourage subjects such as Mechanics – Dynamics, and the Department of Construction to prepare content to participate. This action contributes to bringing the scientific research movement at Tra Vinh University to the tasks of each lecturer.”
