International mobility accelerates the creation and dissemination of knowledge, allowing students and researchers to participate in unique academic opportunities. In addition to facilitating research mobility, Carleton University hosts hundreds of visiting scholars from around the world every year.

Carleton International is pleased to organize the International Research Mobility Symposium. This virtual event brings together Carleton students and faculty, as well as international visiting scholars, to showcase their research and to discuss the benefits and impacts of inter-cultural experiences.

Presentations will focus on a variety of topics, including climate change, the Sustainable Development Goals, Andean music, firearm culture and policies, virtual reality, cyber-sickness, behavioral economics, urban sprawl, and much more. Speakers include scholars from Africa, Europe, India, Latin America, the Middle East, and Carleton University.
