The Logistics and Supply Chain Management program specializes in Logistics Services Management and offers a Co-op model and a Co-op model with an integrated international certificate.
Training Objectives
The Logistics and Supply Chain Management program has a special design that follows the Co-op model to help students gain practical work experience during their studies. This program involves training partnerships with major companies in the industry, allowing students to spend one-third of their training time working at these enterprises.
Training Models The program offers two distinct training models. The standard Co-op model is a corporate partnership program where students have an extended internship period at a company, working as an apprentice. The Co-op model with an integrated international certificate is a corporate partnership program that also includes the FIATA Diploma in International Freight Management. This is a globally recognized certificate issued by the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. Each student’s name and diploma number will be listed on the FIATA website.
Program Goals: The program has an application-oriented design that meets the needs of employers and the community. It provides students with foundational to advanced knowledge of various logistics services and warehousing operations according to international standards. Graduates can apply their specialized knowledge to consult, design, and operate logistics and supply chain services. They understand international laws and practices, enabling them to negotiate contracts and manage business operations in the global supply chain. The program also equips students to plan, coordinate, and manage resources at strategic and operational levels to control the flow of materials and information. Graduates develop proficient English skills for the logistics field, a strong political and ethical awareness, and the ability to work under pressure and adapt to international environments. Through the Co-op model, they gain practical work experience in various roles at leading logistics organizations. 🚚
Admission Conditions: Applicants must meet the university’s minimum quality threshold and admission scores. For the Co-op model with an integrated international certificate, students must also meet one of the following English proficiency criteria:

An average Grade 12 English score of 8.0 or higher.

An international English certificate such as PET (B1), IELTS 4.5, TOEFL iBT 45, or TOEIC 450 or higher (valid within two years from the issue date).

A Vietnamese Standardized Test of English Proficiency (VSTEP) certificate of level B1 or higher. (Priority is given to candidates with a VSTEP certificate issued by Tra Vinh University).

A score of 7.0 or higher on the entrance English proficiency test organized by Tra Vinh University.
Program Duration
The program duration is 3.5 years (7 semesters, 122 credits). This includes a 12-month Co-op internship at a business, for which students receive a tuition fee waiver for 24 credits.
Applicants
We welcome applicants from within Vietnam and from other countries. The admission process follows the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and Tra Vinh University.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
Graduates can apply foundational knowledge of socio-economics, social sciences, and technology to solve problems in the logistics and supply chain management field. They use their understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and business to address issues in production and international trade. They apply specialized knowledge to organize activities and solve problems in international business. Graduates can also analyze theoretical and practical issues in the field and design logistics and supply chain networks for businesses.
Skills
Graduates can analyze international business investment opportunities and various methods for managing logistics and supply chains. They can develop plans for inventory management, distribution systems, warehousing, transportation, and procurement. They can handle international business operations, including freight forwarding, transportation, insurance, and international payments. Graduates can develop new ideas and practical solutions in international business and logistics that align with societal trends and technological advancements. They can apply IT to logistics and supply chain activities. They can also use English at a minimum B1 level for communication and professional tasks. The program develops soft skills such as decision-making, problem-solving, analysis, creativity, self-study, communication, and negotiation.
Scholarship Opportunities
The university offers scholarships for the valedictorian and salutatorian, as well as semesterly scholarships for students with good or excellent academic performance. There are also many support programs and tuition waivers for students facing difficult circumstances.
For students in the Co-op with International Certificate model, specific scholarships are available:

For domestic students: One scholarship for a 100% first-semester tuition waiver is available for students with an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher. One scholarship for a 50% first-semester tuition waiver is available for students with an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher.

For international students: Twenty scholarships are available for a 100% first-semester tuition waiver, awarded based on admission scores to students who have not received any other scholarships.
Career Opportunities
Graduates can take on professional roles in planning, procurement management, customer service, international business, warehousing, materials supply, and distribution at various enterprises. They can find positions at companies that provide logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, and warehousing services. Graduates can also work at customs agencies and other government departments that manage logistics and supply chain activities. They can teach and conduct research at institutes and universities with logistics programs. For those in the Co-op model with an integrated international certificate, there are opportunities to enter the international labor market or apply for management positions in foreign-owned enterprises.
Postgraduate Opportunities
After graduating, students can apply for and pursue higher education at the Master’s and PhD levels. They also have the opportunity to be recommended for scholarships at foreign educational institutions.
Learning Environment Experience
Industry Connection: Tra Vinh University is the Head of the Vietnam Association for Logistics Manpower Development (VALOMA) in the Mekong Delta region. This role provides students with many internship and employment opportunities within a network of industry enterprises.
Business Partnerships: The university partners with many large companies in the logistics sector for the Co-op program, including the Vietnam Aviation and Logistics School (VILAS), Tan Cang-STC Human Resources Development Co., Ltd, Ben Nghe Port, Hau Giang Port, Can Tho Port, and many others.
Practical Experience: Students spend one-third of their training time (12 months) working at major logistics companies as real employees. They gain experience in practical operations in roles such as import-export sales staff, logistics staff, and shipping line staff. Students also receive a 100% tuition fee waiver for their Co-op internship credits.
Field Trips: The program provides opportunities to visit seaports, bonded warehouses, and cold storage facilities. Students visit major southern ports like Cai Mep – Thi Vai Port, Cat Lai Port, Hau Giang Port, and Can Tho Port.
Expert: Students learn from a team of experienced lecturers and researchers, along with guest lecturers who are senior managers from leading domestic and international logistics enterprises in Vietnam.
Skill Development: Students are equipped with proficient specialized English to express, understand, and present on topics in the import-export business. The training process also emphasizes the development of communication and teamwork skills.
Student Life: Students can join the Logistics and E-commerce Student Club and many other interest-based clubs at the university, such as the startup club, creative club, media club, and performance arts club.
Bilingual and International Focus: Courses are taught bilingually in English and Vietnamese, and all courses for the international certificate are taught 100% in English. Graduates of the integrated model receive the Fiata Diploma in International Freight Management, which is recognized worldwide.
