Opening Khmer language course for teachers in Tra Vinh

TVU – The Department of Education and Training of Tra Vinh Province coordinates with Tra Vinh University on November 17 to organize the opening ceremony for the Khmer language training course for teachers in Tra Vinh Province in 2023.

Attending the program are Mr. Ho Thanh Cong, Deputy Head of the Department of Ethnic Education – Educational Testing and Quality Assurance, and Mr. Thach Doi, an official of the Department of Ethnic Education – Educational Testing and Quality Assurance of the Department of Education and Training of Tra Vinh Province.

Representing Tra Vinh University in the event are Dr. Nguyen Thi Hue, Vice Rector of the School of Southern Khmer Language – Culture – Arts and Humanity, MSc. Phan Mai Bach and MSc. Nhan Minh Phuc, Deputy Director of the Victory Informatics – Foreign Language Center, and the course instructors and sixty students.

In his remarks at the ceremony, MSc. Nhan Minh Phuc, Deputy Director of the Victory Informatics – Foreign Language Center, expresses his gratitude to the Department of Education and Training of Tra Vinh province for their reliance and the School of Southern Khmer Language – Culture – Arts and Humanity for their support in providing teaching planning and human resources that allow the Center to complete the training program. According to the Deputy Director, teachers in Tra Vinh Province will go through 6 topics covering 165 lessons over six weeks. Upon finishing the course, they will possess linguistic, cultural, and writing expertise that they may utilize more effectively in their work.

On behalf of the sixty learners engaged in the training course, Mr. Thach Loi, who works at Ham Giang Secondary School in the Tra Cu district, accepts the task and commits to completing the course. He claims this course is a significant, useful, and fulfilling political task. Therefore, he will work hard, take his studies seriously, conduct frequent research, and practice his Khmer language skills so that, upon completion of the course, he can apply his newly acquired knowledge to his present work and fulfill his future educational goals.
