Program objectives
The Political program aims to provide students with basic knowledge of political science, social sciences, law, and information technology. It teaches them to plan, organize, supervise, manage, and operate professional activities in the political field. The program also enables students to apply foundational technical knowledge of politics to their professional work.
The program also equips students with the skills to solve problems; to lead, start businesses, and create jobs for themselves and others. They learn to think critically, critique, and evaluate the quality of work after completion.
Furthermore, the program trains students to work independently or in teams in changing work environments, taking personal and group responsibility. They gain the ability to guide and supervise others, plan and manage resources, and evaluate and improve activities. They can also self-direct, form professional conclusions, and defend their viewpoints.
Program duration
The Bachelor of Political is a 3.5-year program, which includes 7 semesters and 120 credits.
Target applicants
The program admits students from both within and outside the country, following the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the specific rules of Tra Vinh University.

Learning outcomes
Regarding knowledge, graduates can apply knowledge from political subjects to professional and research activities. They can apply foreign language skills at level 3 of the 6-level framework and basic IT skills to their work. They use basic knowledge of Social Sciences and Humanities, document practice, and information management in their studies. Graduates can apply interdisciplinary knowledge to solve political problems in their approach to and research of politics. They can apply knowledge and research methods related to organization and administration, as well as methods for collecting and processing information for political and policy processes. They can also interpret the relationship between politics and policy and its role in social development.
In terms of skills, graduates can develop political-theoretical thinking, accurately collect and process political information, and research political issues. They can proficiently draft administrative and Party documents. They learn to organize policy implementation and adjustment, and can scientifically handle political issues in the mass media. Graduates can also coordinate in leadership, management, and decentralization methods and are skilled in social and professional communication.

Career opportunities after graduation
Graduates can work in various roles in both the public and private sectors.
In the public sector, they can work in administrative agencies and units within the political system (Party, State, and mass organizations). Positions include advisory roles in planning policies, analytical roles in evaluating the implementation of policies, research roles at theoretical and cultural agencies, and teaching positions at political schools, universities, and colleges.
In the private sector, they can work in businesses and economic organizations. Positions include analytical roles to assess the political and socio-economic environment’s impact on business operations and advisory roles for business leaders in building strategies that align with national development trends.
Postgraduate opportunities
After graduating, students in Political Science have the full capacity to continue their studies to a higher professional level. They can participate in short-term training courses in Political in Vietnam and abroad. They can pursue a second bachelor’s degree in a related major. They can also enroll in postgraduate programs (Master’s, Ph.D.) in Political at domestic institutes and universities.
