Program objectives
The Bachelor of Rehabilitation program follows an application-oriented design to meet the needs of employers and relevant parties. Students gain fundamental knowledge of basic science, social sciences, political science, law, information technology, and foreign languages. They also learn how to plan, organize, supervise, manage, and operate professional activities in the Rehabilitation field. The program ensures they can apply foundational technical knowledge of Rehabilitation to their professional activities.
The curriculum develops a student’s ability to work independently or in teams under changing conditions, accepting both personal and group responsibility, and they can guide and supervise others in performing specific tasks. They learn to think critically, evaluate the quality of completed work and team performance, communicate problems and solutions in the workplace, and share knowledge and skills to carry out tasks in Rehabilitation. The program also builds essential skills to solve health problems, plan and manage resources, and evaluate and improve activities. Graduates can self-direct, form professional conclusions, defend their personal views, lead, start businesses, and create jobs for themselves and others.
Admission subject combinations
The program accepts applicants from two subject combinations. Combination A00 includes Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Combination B00 includes Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Program duration
The Bachelor of Rehabilitation is a four-year program, which includes eight semesters and 127 credits. This credit count does not include the modules for National Defense, Security Education, and Physical Education.
Target applicants
The university admits students in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the specific rules of Tra Vinh University.

Learning outcomes
Regarding knowledge, graduates can apply knowledge of basic science, basic medicine, movement science, and relevant policies and legal documents as a foundation for rehabilitation. They can analyze technical principles and specialized knowledge to independently and creatively solve problems in the rehabilitation field. They can also synthesize the principles, rules, and procedures for operating and maintaining Rehabilitation equipment. Graduates learn to synthesize rehabilitation techniques for common and complex diseases to make appropriate treatment decisions. Furthermore, they can apply basic and specialized knowledge to scientific research in the rehabilitation field.
In terms of skills, graduates can perform techniques for examination, evaluation, and Rehabilitation exercises for both common and complex cases. They can establish appropriate rehabilitation goals, plans, and prognoses for each specific patient. They demonstrate the ability to work independently and coordinate with rehabilitation team members to provide comprehensive care. Graduates can proficiently use and maintain equipment in a rehabilitation department and adapt to modern, IT-based equipment. They can apply suitable communication skills with patients, their relatives, and other healthcare staff. They learn to manage the activities of rehabilitation departments at various levels and can conduct scientific research independently or with a team. They can effectively use basic information technology and a foreign language at level 3 of the 6-level Vietnamese Foreign Language Competency Framework.

Students can apply for scholarships under the general policies of the Ministry of Education and Training and Tra Vinh University.
Career opportunities after graduation
Graduates have diverse career options. They can work as lecturers at health science training institutions. They can provide rehabilitative care and treatment for patients at public and private medical facilities, care centers for people with disabilities or the elderly, and nursing homes. They can also work with healthy individuals and athletes at sports centers, fitness gyms, and professional sports teams. Other roles include working as researchers at research centers or as specialist consultants for companies that sell Rehabilitation tools and equipment.
Postgraduate opportunities
After graduating, students in Rehabilitation have the full capacity to continue their studies to a higher professional level. They can participate in short-term training courses in Rehabilitation in Vietnam and abroad or pursue a second bachelor’s degree in a related major. Graduates can also advance their qualifications by attending specialized short courses or enrolling in Master’s or Ph.D. programs in Rehabilitation or related fields.
