Training Objectives
The Resource and Environmental Management program has a career-oriented design that meets the needs of employers and the community. The program provides students with fundamental knowledge of social and political sciences, national defense, and information technology. It also helps students achieve an English proficiency equivalent to level 4/6 of the Vietnamese language competency framework. Students gain basic knowledge of economics and auditing in the environmental sector, along with in-depth knowledge of environmental policy, legal regulations, pollution, and treatment methods.
The program develops students’ ability to conduct research and planning in resource and environmental management. Graduates can use specialized modeling software, manage professional environmental activities, and safely operate environmental treatment systems. The program also fosters skills in self-direction and adaptability to changing work environments. ♻️
Program Duration
Students earn a Bachelor of Resource and Environmental Management in 3.5 years. The program consists of 7 semesters and requires 120 credits to complete.
Applicants
We welcome applicants from within Vietnam and from other countries. The admission process follows the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and Tra Vinh University.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
Graduates of the Resource and Environmental Management program can explain fundamental concepts of social and political sciences and national defense. They can identify key concepts related to the environment, natural resources, pollution, environmental impacts, key indicators, and treatment methods. Graduates also understand concepts of economics and auditing within the environmental field and can interpret the contents of environmental impact assessment reports.
Skills
Graduates can proficiently use both general and specialized English. They can effectively manage the analysis and evaluation of environmental conditions, causes, and impacts, and oversee the implementation of treatment methods. They develop a strong understanding of the policy systems and legal regulations in the field. Students can operate and manage environmental treatment systems and use specialized software for resource and environmental management. They also learn to solve interdisciplinary environmental problems professionally and develop strong administrative and management skills.
Scholarship Opportunities
The program offers specific scholarships for new students, including 5 million VND for the valedictorian, 3 million VND for the salutatorian, and 2 million VND each for three other top-ranking students. General scholarships are also available according to the policies of the Ministry of Education and Training and Tra Vinh University. In addition, students have the chance to receive other scholarships, such as academic encouragement awards and financial support from partner companies.
Career Opportunities
After graduating, students can find jobs in a variety of organizations. They can work as environmental and occupational safety officers in companies, businesses, industrial zones, and production facilities. Graduates can also join firms that specialize in environmental, urban, and industrial zone planning. They can participate in domestic and international projects related to environmental management and protection. Employment opportunities are also available at research institutes, universities, government agencies like the Department of Natural Resources and Environment (DONRE) and Dthe epartment of Science and Technology, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
Postgraduate Opportunities
Graduates of the Resource and Environmental Management program are qualified to advance their education. They can participate in short-term training courses in the field in Vietnam or abroad. They are also eligible to pursue Master’s and PhD programs in environmental fields such as Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, and Environmental Technology at universities nationally and internationally.
About the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology
The Institute of Environmental Science and Technology at Tra Vinh University, established in June 2021, is staffed by a highly qualified team. The faculty currently includes seven lecturers trained abroad, consisting of one professor, four PhDs, one PhD candidate, and one master’s degree holder. The number of highly qualified lecturers will increase significantly in the future, further enhancing the quality of teaching.
In terms of facilities, Tra Vinh University has 24 sites for teaching and research, including laboratories, analysis rooms, processing workshops, and experimental farms. The Institute is currently developing one specialization with an international focus.
