TVU – Recently, Tra Vinh University has organized the seminar: “Evaluating the effectiveness of the Co-op training program and development orientation” to summarize the implementation of the Co-op training program in the past years and build the orientation to develop this program for the remaining industries.
Attending the seminar, there were representatives of leaders of different businesses, such as: CJ Vina Agri Co., Ltd; Thai Viet Corporation Joint Stock Company; C.P Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company; Tanixa Technology Co., Ltd; Green Farm Tra Vinh Co., Ltd; My Phong Leather Shoes Co., Ltd; Japfa Comfeed Vietnam Co., Ltd; Tra Vinh Water Supply and Drainage Joint Stock Company; My Lan Joint Stock Company; T.V. Green Garden Co., Ltd; Tam Viet Seafood Co., Ltd; Biochem Viet A Co., Ltd; Syngenta Company; Dai Nam Viet Trading and Manufacturing Co., Ltd; Chain stores of Nong Thinh Agricultural Supply System and Veterinary Clinic – Nhu.
Tra Vinh University, there were the attendances of Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung and Mr. Le Van Don, Vice Chairmen of the Advisory Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice-Rector, leaders of departments, faculties and centers, teachers, Co-op coordinators, and Co-op students.
Speaking at the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung shared: “Building a training program under the Co-op model has been one of the highlights of Tra Vinh University for many years, bringing great benefits to the students, the school, and the enterprise.” The Board of Directors wished that the leaders of departments and units, the enterprises, and the learners would jointly discuss designing an appropriate training program, removing obstacles and encountered challenges.
Through the discussion, the enterprises suggested maintaining and further improving the training quality in the Co-op program. The school also listened to students’ feedback and shared the difficulties they encountered to help students overcome the obstacles during the co-op internship at the enterprise. Since then, Tra Vinh University could learn more experience and continue to deploy and replicate the remaining programs in the coming time.
At the seminar, the representative of the Co-op Coordinator shared the benefits and difficulties in the implementation of the Co-op program through the presentations of “Summarizing report on the situation of Co-op activities of the University in the past time” by Dr. Tieu Thanh Thuy, Director of the Center for Learning Materials – Teaching and Learning Development; “Summarizing report on the situation of Co-op activities of the aquaculture industry” by MSc. Diep Thanh Toan, Director of the Center for Research and Aquaculture, cum Deputy Head of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries and “Summarizing Report on Co-op activities of the Veterinary Industry” by MSc. Nguyen Thi Anh Thu, Deputy Head of the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department.
Mr. Le Anh Khoa, in charge of the human resources department of CJ Vina Agri Co., Ltd., appreciated Tra Vinh University’s Co-op training program, professional skills, and ability to work with the actual environment at the company, as well as the positive learning attitude.
Ly Minh Thuan, a student of Veterinary in the course of 2018, shared that: “The Co-op program helps me improve my knowledge and work experience by combining theory and practice at the enterprises, at the same time, giving me a chance to train in a real working environment, creating favorable opportunities for me after graduation.”
On this occasion, CJ Vina Agri Co., Ltd and Dai Nam Viet Trading & Manufacturing Co., Ltd. awarded 31 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND, to veterinary students in order to give them more motivation to overcome challenges in learning.
