Signing a cooperation agreement to recognize the credit transfer of the Information Technology Training Program

TVU – On February 23, 2023, the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement and the recognition of credit transfer of FUNiX Online Education Joint Stock Company’s Information Technology Training Program and the distance learning undergraduate program in Information Technology of Tra Vinh University took place at Tra Vinh University, combined with an online education seminar in the new context in the Mekong Delta region.

The attendees of the signing ceremony included Mr. Nguyễn Thành Nam, Founder and former CEO of FPT Corporation, representing FUNiX; Ms. Tân Anh, Head of Human Resource Development, National Innovation Center (NIC) under the Ministry of Planning and Investment; Ms. Nguyễn Thị Bích Thủy, Senior Advisor on Partnership Relations, Office of Economic Growth and Governance (OGEG), USAID/Vietnam; Mr. Phan Vinh Quang, Team Leader of USAID WISE experts; Mr. Đoàn Hữu Đức, Partnerships Officer of USAID WISE expert group; Mr. Thạch Ngọc Hưng, Project Director of VCG; Mr. Quách Ngọc Xuân, CTO of FUNiX, in charge of the Technology and Education Center at FUNiX; Mr. Tăng Phú Khoa, Director of FPT Software Can Tho; Mr. Nguyễn Đức Vinh, Center for Research, Consulting, and Training on Local Development (STG).

On the side of Tra Vinh University, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyễn Minh Hoà, Rector of Tra Vinh University; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Diệp Thanh Tùng, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University; Dr. Phan Quốc Nghĩa, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyễn Văn Nguyện, Rector of School of Law and Economics; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyễn Thái Sơn, Head of the Resource Development Institute (RDI); Dr. Võ Phước Hưng, Head of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, and representatives of departments, offices, and student representatives.

In his opening speech, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyễn Minh Hoà, Rector of Tra Vinh University, expressed his gratitude to the delegates for attending and witnessing the signing ceremony and credit transfer recognition of the IT training program. He also stated that Tra Vinh University will strive to develop this cooperation relationship in the near future.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyễn Minh Hoà, Rector of Tra Vinh University, along with Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam, Founder of Funix and former CEO of FPT Corporation, representing FUNiX, presided over the signing ceremony. Specifically, the signed agreement focuses on the recognition of credits and the transfer of FUNiX students to Tra Vinh University.

Ms. Tân Anh, representative of the National Innovation Center (NIC) under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, highly values the cooperation between Tra Vinh University and FUNiX in providing digital technology human resources for the Mekong Delta region in particular and the country as a whole.

The two sides organized a seminar with the theme “Digital Education in the New Context in the Mekong Delta Region,” featuring speakers who are leaders and managers of businesses, as well as education and technology experts. The seminar discussed the need, reality, opportunities, and challenges in digital human resource training, especially in terms of new approaches to training. In particular, the seminar highlighted the opportunity to receive support from international organizations for digital human resource training and digital transformation activities in the region.

At the seminar, Mr. Nguyễn Thành Nam presented “A Perspective on Digital Education in the New Context,” Ms. Phan Thị Phương Nam, Lecturer of the Department of Information Technology, said: “Introducing a case of digital transformation supporting the quality assurance of training programs according to international standards at Tra Vinh University; Mr. Quach Ngoc Xuan, CTO of FUNiX, presented a case of applying ChatGPT to support learning at FUNiX.”
