TVU – On April 1st, Tra Vinh University held the 6th meeting of the School Council, chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phạm Tiết Khánh, Chairman of the School Council. The meeting was attended by Mr. Lê Thanh Bình, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Council members from inside and outside the university, as well as leaders of units under Tra Vinh University.
Other proposals included establishing the Project Promotion Department, the Institute of Biotechnology, and the Center for Physical Education and Sports under Tra Vinh University. The Council also approved the regulation on the organization and operation of the Center for Training and Business Cooperation under Tra Vinh University, the working regulations of schools under Tra Vinh University, and the policy to rename Victory Foreign Language and Informatics Center to Victory Institute of Applied Languages and Development of Life Skills.
Dr. Đặng Diệp Minh Tân, Head of the Quality Assurance Department, reported on the results of implementing the Strategic Plan for the 2018-2025 period, stating that the strategic objectives were on the right track. The School Council unanimously approved the contributions and comments on the Principal’s reports, with members contributing important points related to policies, resources, processes, legal bases, specific roadmaps, and more.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phạm Tiết Khánh highly appreciated the results of the meeting and the comments made by members, the Advisory Council, and the leaders of the units were recognized by the University Council. He suggested that the School Board should continue to supplement and complete several contents discussed and contributed at the meeting to submit to the School Council for consideration and promulgation as soon as possible.
The Council approved the content of completing the organizational structure and assigning personnel to the School Council. Ms. Châu Thị Trúc Ly was appointed as the Chief of the Office of the School Council for the term 2021-2025 and assigned tasks as the Head of the Department of Finance and Facilities.
