(TVU) – At the beginning of June, 2019, Tra Vinh University (TVU) had a meeting with the University of Salford of the UK led by Dr. Zeeshan UI Haque Aziz. Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Dean of TVU school of Engineering and Technology attended this meeting.
The working visit was within the scope of HEP- a collaborative project on building universities-enterprises linkage model towards research on skill shortage and career development. This project is financially supported by the British Council (for five universities in Vietnam).
At the meeting, Dr. Zeeshan UI Haque Aziz delivered a presentation on the tendency of engineering and construction to smart cities. He also shared some smart city models in Manchester city, the UK in the hope of applying them in Tra Vinh City.
Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa said that Tra Vinh University will continue to co-operate with local people in order to organize workshops to discuss more about these models.
The University of Salford and Tra Vinh University are also going to work together to deliver the programs in construction, IT, electronics and electricity.
