Tra Vinh recreates the unique culture of Southern Khmer people

TPO – The scenic spots, historical relics, and unique cultural features of the Southern Khmer ethnic group vividly reappear through mural paintings at Tra Vinh University. This is an ideal destination to record beautiful moments of student life, and also a new and unique check-in point for visitors.

On July 1, the opening ceremony for the “Mural Wall” project took place at the School of Southern Khmer Language, Culture, and Arts at Tra Vinh University.

The work was sketched and constructed by painter Tran Nguyen Dan, painter Nguyen Van Phuoc, and artist Kim Khanh Dung in 30 days with a total budget of nearly 100 million VND, sponsored by one unit.

This is the first “fresco mural” work at Tra Vinh University to recreate the landscapes, historical relics, and unique cultural features of the Khmer ethnic group and the whole country in general. Besides, the “Mural Wall” will be an ideal place to capture the beautiful moments of student life in the university lecture hall and a new and unique check-in point for visitors to visit.
