On the afternoon of December 11, Tra Vinh University organizes a ceremony to announce and confer the Associate Professor title for 2025 on five individuals whom the State Council for Professor Title recognizes as meeting standards according to Prime Minister’s Decision No. 37/2018/QD-TTg and Decision No. 25/2020/QD-TTg.
Attending the ceremony are Mr. Kien Soc Kha, Provincial Party Committee Member and Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization of Vinh Long, Ms. La Thi Thuy, Provincial Party Committee Member and Director of the Vinh Long Provincial Department of Education and Training, Associate Professor Dr. Lam Thai Hung, Deputy Director of the Vinh Long Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and Mr. Nguyen Huu Phuoc, Deputy Director of the Vinh Long Provincial Department of Health.
Representing medical facilities and hospitals are Professor Dr. Ta Van Tram, People’s Doctor, Director of Tien Giang General Hospital and Dean of the College of Medicine and Pharmacy at Tra Vinh University, Dr. Tran Kien Vu, former Director of Tra Vinh General Hospital, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Ngoc Thach, Meritorious Doctor and Deputy Director of Children’s Hospital 2 in Ho Chi Minh City, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Van, Director of Thanh Van Cosmetic Hospital, Dr. Do Thi Thu Van, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Minh, and Dr. Nguyen Thien Van, Deputy Directors of Thanh Van Cosmetic Hospital, and Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Nam, Head of the Department of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Neuro-Ophthalmology at Ho Chi Minh City Eye Hospital.
Representing former leadership and the Advisory Council of Tra Vinh University are Mr. Tran Hoan Kim, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Chairman of the People’s Committee of Tra Vinh Province, and Chairman of the Advisory Council of Tra Vinh University, Mr. Pham Khai Trung, former Chief Inspector of Tra Vinh Province and Vice Chairman of the Advisory Council, Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, former Vice Rector and Vice Chairman of the Advisory Council, and Dr. Vo Hoang Khai, former Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University.
Representing the leadership of Tra Vinh University are Professor Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh, Member of the Interdisciplinary Council of Professors for Culture, Arts, and Physical Education and Sports, Chairman of the University Council, and Chairman of the Institutional Council of Professors, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector, Dr. Phan Quoc Nghia, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector, and Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University.

In his opening remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of Tra Vinh University, emphasizes the significance of developing highly qualified faculty in the context of higher education integration. The Rector shares that Tra Vinh University continues to pursue the goal of building a quality, advanced educational environment, focusing on applied research serving the community while developing faculty to meet international integration requirements in higher education.

On behalf of the Institutional Council of Professors, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hung announces the decision recognizing individuals who meet the Associate Professor title standards for 2025. Subsequently, Ms. Tran Thi Tuyet Mai, Head of the Organization and Personnel Department, announces Tra Vinh University’s appointment decisions.

On this occasion, Tra Vinh University confers the Associate Professor title on five individuals. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Nam, Vice Dean of the College of Khmer Southern Language-Culture-Arts and Humanities (CLASKA), receives the Associate Professor title in Linguistics at Tra Vinh University. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Nam receives the Associate Professor title in Medicine, currently works at Ho Chi Minh City Eye Hospital, and participates in teaching and scientific research at the university. Associate Professor Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tai, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the College of Khmer Southern Language-Culture-Arts and Humanities (CLASKA), receives the Associate Professor title in Educational Sciences. Associate Professor Dr. Pham Ngoc Thach works at Children’s Hospital 2 in Ho Chi Minh City, receives the Associate Professor title in Medicine, and participates in teaching and research at the university. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Van works at Thanh Van Cosmetic Hospital, receives the Associate Professor title in Medicine, and participates in teaching and scientific research at Tra Vinh University.
To date, Tra Vinh University has 27 training programs that achieve international quality accreditation according to prestigious standards such as FIBAA (Europe), AUN-QA (Southeast Asia), and ABET (United States). This serves as an important foundation helping the university’s students have opportunities to participate in international exchange and internship programs while enhancing their competitive advantages when entering the domestic and international labor markets.

With nearly 25 years of formation and development from August 3, 2001 to June 19, 2006 to June 19, 2026, TVU pursues the values of “dedication, transparency, friendliness, and creativity” with the mission “to bring quality learning opportunities to the community.” The university ranks as one of the first universities to pilot autonomy under Resolution 77/NQ-CP (2014) and receives comprehensive autonomy rights in Group 1 from 2017 under Decision 486/QD-TTg. For three consecutive years (2022, 2023, 2024), TVU wins the Vietnam Digital Transformation Award in the category “Outstanding Digital Transformation Public Service Unit.” This annual award comes from the Vietnam Digital Communication Association and VietTimes Electronic Magazine, sponsored by the Ministry of Information and Communications. In 2025, TVU receives the honor cup in the “Educational Environment of the Year” category at the “Smart Education Initiative – SEI Awards” 2025 ceremony, organized by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Institute of Innovation and Digital Transformation (VIDTI), Sang Newspaper Development Joint Stock Company, and Edtech Korea. The university operates as a public university with appropriate tuition and scholarship policies, maintains highly qualified and dedicated faculty, and provides spacious and modern facilities.
