On August 25 and 26, the School of Odonto-Stomatology, Tra Vinh University carried out a free dental care and treatment for more than 1,000 students from 11 primary schools in Tra Vinh City.
Experts, dentists, doctors, and volunteers from the School of Odonto-Stomatology examined and consulted on oral health conditions and treated oral diseases (scaling, extraction, filling…) for primary school students for free. Additionally, the students can also learn how to use toothbrushes and toothpaste properly to maintain effective oral hygiene.
Dr. Dương Thị Truyền, Dean of the School of Odonto-Stomatology, Tra Vinh University, said that the activity was organized to ensure and take care of primary school student’s oral health before the new semester. Thereby, propagandizing to children about the awareness of protecting and taking care of their teeth from an early age. In the coming time, the school will organize more meaningful programs to serve the community.
On this occasion, the students also received gifts from sponsors (brushes, toothpaste…). The total budget is more than 150 million VND, mobilized by Tra Vinh University.
