TVU – On the evening of June 22, the 21st Vietnam Glory Program 2025 with the theme “Pride and Aspiration” took place solemnly at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Palace of Culture (Hanoi), organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Labor Newspaper. The program honored 13 outstanding organizations and 6 individuals representing various fields from economics, defense, diplomacy to healthcare, education, sports, and science technology.
Dr. Ngo So Phe, Dean of the College of Khmer Southern Language-Culture-Arts and Humanities (CLASKA) at Tra Vinh University, stands among the 19 outstanding examples nominated for recognition in this year’s program.
With her aspiration to contribute to Khmer human resources, Dr. Ngo So Phe has made significant contributions to the college’s development, achieving numerous titles and receiving recognition in the Vietnam Glory Program 2025.
Dr. Ngo So Phe shares that as the first female Khmer PhD holder in Tra Vinh province, she always cherishes the development of human resources for her community. After graduating and working at Tra Vinh University, she received appointment as Dean of the College of Khmer Southern Language-Culture-Arts and Humanities at Tra Vinh University. This unit receives assignment from the Government as a national key institution for professional training in Khmer Southern language, culture, and arts.
During recent years, Dr. Ngo So Phe along with faculty and students has implemented numerous provincial and national-level scientific research projects on preserving and conserving the distinctive cultural features of the Khmer people. The college also actively participates in international cooperation activities and cultural exchanges with countries such as India and the Philippines.
Vietnam Glory represents a special political, cultural, and social event directed by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, coordinated with the Central Committee for Emulation and Rewards, and directly implemented by Labor Newspaper annually and continuously since 2004.
This year’s program carries the theme “Pride and Aspiration,” aiming to honor organizations and individuals who have made outstanding contributions during 80 years of building and defending the Fatherland, making important contributions to socio-economic development, especially in digital economy, green economy, innovation, and sustainable development.
