
The workshop welcomed Mr. Thach Muni, Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic Affairs and Religion of Vinh Long Province, management boards of secondary schools, ethnic boarding general schools, elementary schools from provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region, media agencies, businesses, and employers related to the Khmer language field.
From Tra Vinh University, participants included Dr. Dang Diep Minh Tan – Head of Quality Assurance Department; Dr. Ngo So Phe – Dean of the College of Khmer Southern Language-Culture-Arts and Humanities (CLASKA); Dr. Nguyen Thi Hue – Vice Dean and Dr. Le Thuy An – Head of the Department of Khmer Southern Language-Culture-Arts (CLASKA).
In her opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Thi Hue affirmed: “The workshop serves as an important forum for the university to connect with experts, alumni, and recruiting units, thereby receiving practical feedback to improve the training program for Khmer Language – a field of study deeply rooted in cultural, historical, and ethnic identity values.”
During the workshop, Master Ngo Phu Hai presented the Professional Competency Framework for Khmer Language at University Level. Delegates actively exchanged ideas and contributed opinions regarding the core competencies that students need after graduation, particularly in the fields of education, media, translation and interpretation, and ethnic and religious affairs.

Dr. Dang Diep Minh Tan shared: “Tra Vinh University always focuses on updating training programs according to outcome-based standards that align with local human resource needs and organizations that use Khmer language in their professional work.”
The workshop recorded many practical suggestions from business representatives, experts, and alumni. The discussion results will serve as important data for the university to continue improving its training programs, contributing to the goal of developing high-quality human resources for the community.
