TVU – On October 10, 2025, in celebration of National Digital Transformation Day, the College of Engineering and Technology at Tra Vinh University (TVU) organized the TVU Student Informatics Olympiad 2025. The event attracts 76 contestants, seeking to identify the most outstanding students to represent the university at the national competition.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Vo Phuoc Hung, Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology, affirmed that the competition serves as an annual academic activity aimed at discovering and nurturing young technology talents, and represents an important selection round for the 34th Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad Team.
This year’s organizing committee and jury panel includes Dr. Nguyen Nhut Lam, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Center and Head of the Department of Information Technology, along with lecturers: MSc. Duong Ngoc Van Khanh, MSc. Nguyen Ngoc Dan Thanh, MSc. Le Minh Tu, MSc. Pham Minh Duong, MSc. Trinh Quoc Viet, and MSc. Pham Thi Truc Mai.

A new feature of this year’s competition involves organizing two separate categories: the Specialized Informatics category with 58 students from Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence majors, and the Non-Specialized Informatics category introduced, attracting 18 students from other majors, demonstrating the strong spread of the programming learning movement at TVU.

The event also features special participation from successful alumni serving as judges. Notably, Mr. Huynh Sa Quang, Deputy Director of VNPT Chau Thanh, who brought TVU its first national Olympiad award in 2011, shared his message with contestants: “Stay persistent and careful with every line of code, because each problem presents an opportunity for you to grow.”


After an intense and exciting competition period, the organizing committee identified the most outstanding individuals:
Specialized Informatics Category winners include First Prize winner Nguyen Minh Khang from Information Technology Class A 2024, Second Prize winner Le Trung Hieu from Information Technology Class A 2023, Third Prize winner Tran Khai Minh from Information Technology Class C 2024, and Encouragement Prize winner Vo Thi Thao Nguyen from Information Technology Class C 2024.
Non-Specialized Informatics Category winners include First Prize winner Nguyen Thanh Loi from Control and Automation Engineering Technology Class 2025, Second Prize winner Dang Thanh Toi from Sports Management Class 2024, Third Prize winner Le Quoc Duong from Control and Automation Engineering Technology Class 2022, and Encouragement Prize winner Pham Minh Khoi from Control and Automation Engineering Technology Class 2022.
Award-winning students and programming enthusiasts will receive intensive training in algorithms and programming skills to prepare for the selection round representing Tra Vinh University at the 2025 Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad. This opportunity offers not only professional knowledge development but also valuable preparation to help students apply technology in their studies, research, and future careers.
The competition has concluded, but the spirit of conquering knowledge and the passion for innovation continue to spread among TVU students – young programmers who are gradually affirming their competence and intelligence in the digital transformation era.
