With its position at 173 globally in the recently announced UI GreenMetric 2025 ranking, Tra Vinh University (TVU) continues to shine as a bright spot in Vietnamese education’s strategy to build a “green university” and achieve sustainable development.

In early December 2025, the UI GreenMetric Organization officially announces the ranking of universities worldwide, and Tra Vinh University receives recognition at position 173 globally, continuing to remain in the TOP 200 green and sustainable universities in the world. The continuous presence in the group of 200 leading universities for many consecutive years proves that TVU develops its training scale and places special emphasis on social and environmental responsibility.

Some notable achievements in TVU’s UI Green Metric rankings over the years include: Year 2025: Ranked 173 out of 1,745 institutions and universities globally. Year 2024: Ranked 133 out of 1,477 participating universities. Year 2023: Ranked 139 out of 1,183 participating universities. Year 2022: Ranked 138 globally.

Besides the green “bright spot,” TVU also achieves remarkable progress in training quality and innovation. The university holds 27 internationally accredited programs as of August 2025, including 11 FIBAA-accredited programs (Europe), 12 AUN-QA-accredited programs (Southeast Asia), and 4 ABET-accredited programs (United States). TVU currently ranks among the top universities in terms of the number of internationally accredited programs.
The university stays in the Top 100 innovative universities (WURI Ranking) for many consecutive years, ranking 29 out of 400 universities with influence and social contribution in 2025. In digital transformation, TVU receives the National Outstanding Digital Transformation Award for three consecutive years (2022-2024). Particularly, TVU receives honor and the Educational Environment Cup at SEI Awards 2025 – the “Smart Education Initiative – SEI Awards” 2025, recognizing the university’s persistent efforts in building a green, friendly learning environment and strongly applying digital technology.
| UI GreenMetric serves as a prestigious measure of sustainable universities. UI GreenMetric World University Rankings is a global ranking initiated by the University of Indonesia in 2010. This organization is the first and only one in the world that evaluates universities based on their environmental commitment and sustainability initiatives through 39 indicators across 6 strict criteria including infrastructure and environment, green space and budget for sustainable development, energy and climate change, use of energy-efficient equipment and renewable energy development, waste management, recycling programs, organic and hazardous waste treatment, water management, water reuse and water source protection policies, sustainable transportation, limiting personal vehicles and encouraging walking and electric vehicles on campus, and training and research, scientific publications on sustainable development and student employment. |
