TVU – On the afternoon of November 4, at Tra Vinh University, Professor Dr. Nicole Ondrusch and Dr. Thomas Klemm—lecturers from Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences (HHN) in Germany and consultants for the DAAD University Program Consultancy Project—signed a handover document for 30 headsets to support Tra Vinh University students participating in COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) classes.

COIL represents a new teaching method based on an online platform that connects Tra Vinh University students with students from partner universities worldwide to work together on learning projects as part of their regular coursework. Through this approach, students practice foreign languages while developing collaborative skills, critical thinking abilities, and competencies for working in intercultural environments. With support from the DAAD University Program Consultancy Project, Tra Vinh University has built the COIL Network (COIN) and organized pilot classes with various partners both inside and outside the network, creating opportunities for students to access international education models right in their local area.

The equipment handed over this time will help improve online learning conditions, making it easier for students to participate in COIL classes through discussions, group work, and project presentations with international instructors and peers. Building on this foundation, students will continue to join courses that enhance their intercultural communication skills in English, working toward the goal of developing a generation of confident, responsible global citizens ready to integrate into the international community.
