TVU – From May 27 to May 29, 2024, Tra Vinh University’s delegation, led by Mr. Nguyen Van Vu An, Director of the Tra Vinh Provincial Business Incubator and Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), joins institutes, colleges, and universities from Southeast Asia, India, and South Africa to participate in the prestigious IDEATHON 2024 Startup Ideas Competition in Palawan, Philippines.
The team comprises CIE members and the authors of the “Producing Plywood and Artificial Wood from Straw” idea, including Nguyen Xuan Thanh, a student from the Music class of 2022, and Do Ngoc Sa Huynh, from the Pharmacy A class of 2021.
The IDEATHON 2024 Startup Ideas Competition, organized by the UNIIC Network (University Incubator Association) at Palawan State University and Mindoro State, attracts representatives and leaders from esteemed educational institutions across Southeast Asia, India, and South Africa. The event serves as a platform for innovative ideas to solve practical problems and foster creativity.
Tra Vinh University’s students showcase their entrepreneurial spirit and innovative thinking, earning the Consolation Prize for their compelling idea presentation. This achievement underscores the university’s commitment to nurturing a strong startup community and empowering students to make their mark on the regional and global entrepreneurial landscape.
By participating in IDEATHON 2024, Tra Vinh University students gain invaluable real-world experiences, exchange ideas with like-minded individuals, and hone the essential skills required for successful entrepreneurship. This international event provides a platform for students to demonstrate their bravery, intelligence, and innovative mindset, contributing to the growth of a vibrant startup ecosystem in the region.
Furthermore, Tra Vinh University seizes the opportunity to sign cooperation agreements with 16 partner units, paving the way for a favorable environment that encourages student entrepreneurship while expanding their network and facilitating connections with potential partners and investors.
