Tra Vinh University students act for the environment: A journey to a green city

From parched fields to polluted rivers, water scarcity and a lack of clean water are pressing issues in the Mekong Delta. However, an equally significant challenge is the spread of misinformation about water treatment solutions.

Recognizing this, Tra Vinh University has taken a proactive stance. As one of the world’s top 50 innovative universities (according to the WURI 2025 ranking), we believe that empowering our youth is the key to change.

Our project, “Youth for Water Justice – Enhancing Communication and Information Capabilities for a Green Urban Transition,” has equipped students with practical skills:

In-depth training on water reuse techniques and digital media.

A design competition for a mini-park with a water reuse system, with the winning model being built on campus.

The development of a digital toolkit, including videos, infographics, and social media content to raise public awareness.

We are the students of Tra Vinh University, and we believe that acting for the future is the responsibility of every young person. Together, let’s spread the right message, combat misinformation, and build a greener, more resilient city!
