On the occasion of their visit and work with Tra Vinh People’s Committee and provincial departments, the delegation of Dong Thap People’s Committee led by Ms. Tran Thi Thai- Vice president of Dong Thap People’s Committee came and worked with TVU. The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung- Vice Rector of TVU and some leaders of TVU departments. The meeting was also attended by Ms. Son Thi Anh Hong- Vice president of Tra Vinh People’s Committee, Mr. Tran Hoan Kim- President of TVU Advisory Council, Former President of Travinh People’s Committee.
At the meeting, Mr. Tran Hoan Kim shared with the delegation some experience about the formation and development of TVU since the initial establiment and integration by applying sucessfully the community college model into the practical conditions of Vietnam. Being the Former President of Travinh People’s Committee, he confirmed that Tra Vinh People’s Committee always tries to take the support from Ministries, Departments to develop the education for Travinh to meet the community’s learning needs . He added that TVU is always ready to share and replicate its experience with other Institutions to bulid a high quality education to meet the learning need s and developing human resources for the Mekong Delta area.
On behalf of the delegation, Ms. Tran Thi Thai expressed her pleasure and thanked for valuable sharing from TVU and Travinh People’s Committee from which she will direct the related units in her province to consider and to apply flexibly the community college model at Dongthap Community College to be developed more. On the occasion of Tet holiday, Ms. Tran Thi Thai and Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung have sent the wishes of happiness and sucess to the organizations and departments in the two provinces.
