On the occasion of his visit to Vietnam, Dr. Nguyen Van Son- an overseas Vietnamese living in the U.S came and worked with TVU on February 2nd, 2012. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh- Rector of TVU, Ms. Thach Thi Dan- Vice Rector of TVU and some related leaders of offices welcomed him and the delegation.
During his one working day at TVU, he visited the training and research facilities available at TVU and stated that the research, production agriculture model of TVU was one of the favorable conditions for the American partners to consider and to support on training lecturers and giving other financial and technical supports. Dr. Nguyen Van Son expressed his pleasure at the development of TVU in recent years and promised to introduce TVU to more cooperative partners.
Also, he gave a presentation on “Carbon Nano Electronic” for students and lectures of TVU Department of Applied chemistry. Concurrently, on behalf of the Vietnamese Heritage Institute (VHI), he gave a few scholarships for TVU needy students.
On behalf of TVU Rector board, Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh appreciated Dr. Nguyen Van Son’s support on helping TVU establish relationships with domestic and foreign partners.
