“Where there’s a will, there’s a way.”
Minh Nam, a child born and raised in a farming family in Soc Trang province, has always strived to overcome obstacles in his studies and pursue his dreams.
In 2015, Nam desired to attend university. However, realizing his family was facing numerous challenges, he abandoned his studies and traveled to Ho Chi Minh City, finding a job to assist his family.
While beginning university in 2018, he continued to train, cultivate ethics, and increase his professional abilities. Also, Nam has always been involved in the Union – Association’s operations. Trusted by teachers and friends, he was the Class President, a member of the Executive Committee of Tra Vinh University’s Union’s Scientific Research Club, and also a member of the Executive Committee of Tra Vinh University’s Union’s Club of Students with Five Good Merits for several semesters.
Nam obtained the title of “Students with five good merits” at the central level on the 72nd anniversary of the Traditional Student Day and the Vietnam Student Association. He also obtained the title of “Students with five good merits” for the second year in a row at the provincial level.
“The approach to obtain the title “Students with five good qualities” is passion and enthusiasm. At the age of 25, I’ve accomplished a lot of self-set goals. Aside from class, I devote a significant amount of time to self-study. I always prepare a study plan and set up my routine in a systematic manner. In the future, I plan to finish my studies to improve my employment prospects and contribute to society”, said Minh Nam.
