Training Objectives
The Bachelor of Travel Services Management program trains a high-quality workforce with the knowledge, skills, and work methods suitable for the tourism and travel services industry. The program also prepares students to adapt to multicultural environments, integrate internationally, and promote sustainable development.
Program Duration
Students earn a Bachelor of Travel Services Management in 3.5 years. The program consists of 7 semesters and requires 134 credits.
Applicants
We follow the current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Tra Vinh University Admissions Scheme. We welcome applicants from within Vietnam and from other countries.

Learning Outcomes
After graduating, students have a solid foundational knowledge of management in the tourism and travel services sector. They are proficient in the skills needed to organize, operate, and manage tourism services. Graduates can also communicate effectively in a foreign language, use modern technology, and meet market demands. In addition, students have a sense of responsibility, professional ethics, the ability to work in teams, and can adapt to a multicultural work environment. They are ready to learn and develop themselves to become experts in the industry.
Knowledge
Graduates can apply basic knowledge from sciences, social sciences, humanities, political theory, and national defense to business activities in tourism, hospitality, or event management. They can link their knowledge of statistics, analysis, and management to provide high-quality services that satisfy customer needs. They understand the fundamentals of tourism science and government policies and apply this to research, business, and management. Graduates use their in-depth knowledge of tourism operations, leverage cultural and culinary knowledge from different regions and countries to create attractive products, and apply their understanding of tour routes and procedures to handle issues during tours and events. They can also select and apply information technology for management, promotion, and business operations.
Skills
Graduates can handle all procedures related to tourism, hospitality, or event management services. They can use a foreign language at level 3/6 of the Vietnamese language competency framework (B1 level). They are proficient in working independently and in teams to manage business operations. Graduates can manage various programs in the tourism sector, use customer care skills to handle situations effectively, and develop their entrepreneurial and self-study abilities to adapt to changing environments. They also learn to be flexible, poised, and confident when making decisions and solving problems in their professional practice.
Autonomy and Responsibility
Graduates adhere to the guidelines of the Party and the laws of the State, especially those related to the tourism, hospitality, and event management sectors. They have confidence in their work and profession and a love for their country, which they wish to share with all domestic and international tourists.
Scholarship Opportunities
Students can receive scholarships according to the general policies of the Ministry of Education and Training and Tra Vinh University. Annual scholarships are available for students with good, excellent, or outstanding academic performance, and for students facing difficult circumstances. Each year, the University offers two to three full scholarships for study in Canada (for up to one year) for students in the Tourism and Hospitality fields, funded by the Canadian Government. The University also has many programs to support students with tuition waivers and dormitory placements.
Career Opportunities
The Travel Services Management major is suitable for young people who are agile, dynamic, eloquent, and passionate about tourism, hospitality, and event organization. A good understanding of history and society and good health are also important for this profession. Graduates can confidently work in positions such as tour guides or specialists in lodging, marketing, customer care, and conference or event organization. They can manage, operate, and design tours at domestic and international companies or non-governmental organizations. Graduates can also work as specialists in provincial departments of tourism or conduct research and teach at educational institutions and research institutes.
Working in this industry also means having many opportunities for self-affirmation and independent business development. One of the most popular trends today is to establish a tourism and travel service company, open a restaurant or hotel, or start an event management company. Students who dream of working in skyscrapers, the world’s most luxurious hotels and restaurants, and traveling to many places can find career advancement opportunities at various organizations. These include domestic and international travel and tourism companies, resorts and amusement parks, restaurants and hotels, event management and tourism media companies, and government tourism departments and promotion centers.
Postgraduate Opportunities
After graduating with a Bachelor of Travel Services Management from Tra Vinh University, students can pursue postgraduate studies or in-depth research at any training institution in Vietnam or abroad to become experts in the industry. They can also take additional courses to obtain professional practice certificates in Tourism and Hospitality, recognized by Vietnam and other countries.
