(TVU) – December 30, students who major in Mechanical Engineering Technology took part in an exciting experience about new scanning technology and new 3D solutions that are being applied in many businesses, instructed by 3D Smart Solutions (3DS) at Tra Vinh University.
During the session, Mr. Ho Hoang Tam, representative of 3DS company, shared with students common concepts and terms about 3D scanning compiled by 3DS company, and at the same time gave the students a chance to experience the 3D professional scanning solutions by the Solutionix scanner distributed by 3DS Company.
Specifically, students have monitored the machine operation and introduced brief instructions on the way to use professional software, scan 3D objects, and edit 3D scanning data.
Dr. Pham Quoc Phong, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, said: “In the trend of technology development, the application of 3D technology in businesses, free trade zones and foreign-invested factories is becoming very popular. Moreover, the demand for human resources as technical staff, sales engineers, or 3D technology specialists in enterprises tends to increase. Helping students to access advanced technology from companies and businesses is very essential in the learning process at the university”.
