TVU – On June 15, the TVU Rector Board, along with Logistics Service Management and E-Commerce majors, had an excursion to San Ha Co., Ltd, a leading high-tech livestock farming model and its chain of convenience stores branded as San Ha Foodstores in Ben Luc, Long An.
Through the excursion, TVU students had access to the company’s production and business models and gained a lot of useful knowledge about new management technologies and operating methods in the fields of Agricultural Science and Supply Chain. Students thereby could be aware of the criteria for personnel selection in order to partly self-assess and actively improve their own abilities. In addition, students also visited the working area to understand more about the company culture, and the layout of the professional working space.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung – Vice-Rector of Tra Vinh University – introduced the development orientation for the university by applying research projects and commercializing products by TVU lecturers and students, such as Cordyceps, high-DHA eggs, microalgae production and its application in producing drinking water and high-quality tiger prawns, etc. There is also the Co-op program in which TVU collaborates with businesses to provide work-study programs, improving the quality of human resources.
On behalf of San Ha Co., Ltd., Deputy Managing Director Nguyen Doan Giang introduced the history, vision and core values of the company. Mr. Giang also highly appreciated TVU’s Co-op program and supported the comprehensive cooperation between the university and enterprises in the training, research and business support program.
