TVU – After five days of exciting competition, on the morning of October 28, the Men’s Volleyball Tournament for Khmer Youth celebrating the 2025 Ok Om Bok Festival, concluded with a final match between Tra Vinh University team and Tieu Can Commune team at the Ba Om pond, a National Scenic Relic Site in Nguyet Hoa Ward, Vinh Long Province.
Mr. Cao Quoc Dung and Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung, Deputy Directors of the Vinh Long Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, attended the event to watch the match and present awards to the outstanding teams.
The tournament took place from October 24 to 31, 2025, featuring eight teams divided into two groups: Group A (Dong Thanh Ward, Tra Vinh Ward, Tieu Can Commune, Tra Vinh Vocational College) and Group B (Song Loc Commune, Tan An Commune, Tra Vinh University, Public Security of Vinh Long Province).

The event brought a lively and vibrant atmosphere, attracting a large number of spectators. With strong competitive spirit, impressive plays, and dramatic rallies, the athletes delivered thrilling and emotional moments throughout the match.

As a result, the Tra Vinh University team earned second place, demonstrating the determination, solidarity, and youthful energy of TVU students and staff.

The Men’s Volleyball Tournament for Khmer Youth is part of the series of events celebrating the 2025 Ok Om Bok Festival – a major traditional celebration of the Khmer community in Southern Vietnam. The active participation of Tra Vinh University contributes to preserving and promoting cultural and sports values of the Khmer ethnic group, while strengthening community connection and spreading the spirit of sportsmanship within the province.
