On December 14, 2011, TVU Youth Union held a meeting in order to propaganda about the islands of Vietnam for TVU Youth force and launch the program “Contributing to build Truong Sa islands”. Mr. Tran Binh Trong- Director of Tra Vinh Propaganda Department, Mr. Vo Hoang Khai- Vice-Rector of TVU and TVU students attended the meeting.
Mr. Vo Hoang Khai emphasized that TVU students should know about the strategic position of the islands in Vietnam, have more concerns in protecting their homelands. He suggested TVU Youth Union should hold more activities to propaganda about the sovereignty of Vietnamese islands, to concern about the soldiers working in the islands to protect our homelands.
At the meeting, Mr. Tran BinhTrong gave a report about the recent situation of our East Sea. Mr. Phan Huu Phuc- Vice Secretary of TVU Youth Union reported the program “Contributing to build Truong Sa islands” phase 1. In phase 1, two youth union branches : Faculty of Economics, Laws & Foreign Languages and Pedagogy Faculty were awarded certificates of merit by TVU Youth Union for their great contribution.
On behalf of Youth Executive Committee, Mr. Phan Huu Phuc launched the program “Contributing to build Truong Sa islands” phase 2. He suggested the youth union members contributing to build Truong Sa islands. At the meeting, the sum of money 2,861,000 VND was received to support the program. The program will last until December 19, 2011 to call for more contributions.
