TVU’s Top scorer: Student’s remarkable achievement

TVU – Tran Quoc Cuong, a recent high school graduate, has distinguished himself as the top scorer at Tra Vinh University with an impressive 27.75 points in the national university entrance exam.

Tran Quoc Cuong’s results were outstanding: 9.75 in Geography, 9.25 in Literature, and 8.75 in History. Cuong admitted he was stunned when he saw his official scores, even after carefully rechecking his answers.

He attributes his success to persistent effort, combining disciplined study with watching historical documentaries and following current affairs to strengthen his knowledge—especially useful for Literature. He described the exam as challenging, noting that even Geography, his strongest subject, required especially careful consideration. To prepare, he regularly practiced past papers in both History and Geography.

Coming from a rural hometown in Chau Thanh district, now part of Vinh Long province, Cuong’s achievement is rooted in both his determination and his family’s support. His father works as a laborer, while his mother runs a small shop. At Vu Dinh Lieu High School, his teachers inspired him to aim higher, while online learning resources further enriched his preparation.

Beyond academics, Cuong also showcased his talent in sports, earning a bronze medal in men’s volleyball at the 29th Tra Vinh Province Workers’ Sports Festival. This passion has inspired him to pursue a degree in Sports Management at Tra Vinh University.

Looking ahead, Cuong hopes to excel academically, engage in volunteer clubs, and further develop his soft skills. His story stands as a powerful example of resilience, dedication, and the promise of Vietnam’s young generation.
