TVU – With a university admission score of 25.57, Ngo Ngoc Thao Van, a former Duong Hao Hoc High School (Cang Long District, Tra Vinh Province, Vietnam) student, moves closer to her dream of becoming a doctor, using her knowledge to serve community health.
Born and raised in Tan An commune, Cang Long district, Tra Vinh province, in a family with a tradition of valuing education, Thao Van identified and nurtured her dream of becoming a doctor from a very early age.
Thao Van shares, “I dream of studying medicine partly because my grandfather was a doctor, and he greatly motivated me. When he passed away, the desire to follow in his footsteps made me even more determined in my journey to conquer knowledge.”
Observing her grandfather at work during his lifetime and listening to him share about his profession, Thao Van knows that being a good doctor requires more than just excellent grades. It demands diligent research as medicine is a field of lifelong learning. To become a doctor, one must always strive and put in extra effort.
For this reason, Thao Van invests a great deal of time in studying from elementary to middle school and high school. Besides school lessons, she participates in group study sessions with friends, dedicates time to self-study at home, and diligently practices additional exercises online. Proactively discussing difficult assignments with teachers helps Thao Van achieve the title of Excellent Student for 12 consecutive years.
Additionally, Thao Van is an energetic and active girl who participates in many activities and competitions, achieving high results. These include the Science and Technology Research competition, the Green Creative Ideas contest, the Violympic competitions, and excellent student exams. Furthermore, Thao Van also earned the title of “Three-Good Student” and won gold and silver medals in Taekwondo at district and provincial levels.
In the 2024 high school graduation exam, Ngo Ngoc Thao Van is admitted to the medical program at Tra Vinh University with a total admission score of 25.57. Sharing her joy, Thao Van expresses her desire to become a skilled doctor who can treat patients and help those in difficult societal circumstances.
Thao Van explains her choice of Tra Vinh University as her place of study and training: “In recent years, Tra Vinh University has gradually affirmed its position in medical education. This is not only a place that trains quality human resources but also an environment that nurtures talent, helping me confidently study and practice.”
Entering university, Thao Van participates in the University’s Youth Union and Student Association activities to learn more interesting things during her student life. At the same time, she says she will constantly strive and practice to achieve good academic results and successfully conquer her dream.
