Vietnam – Canada Friendship Association: Sum up 2019 and its orientation for 2020

(TVU) – In mid-December, Tra Vinh Provincial Vietnam-Canada Friendship Association held a conference to review the Association’s affairs in 2019 and set up its direction in 2020 at TVU main campus.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh, Provincial Party Committee member, TVU Secretary of Party Committee, TVU Rector, Chairman of Tra Vinh Provincial Vietnam – Canada Friendship Association chaired the conference.

In his welcome speech, the chairman of the Association emphasized the importance of bilateral investment cooperation in promoting the friendship between the two countries.

In the past year, the Association successfully completed its professional missions including admitting 32 new members, carrying out many meaningful activities for the community, organizing events for sharing learning experience between Canadian volunteers and its students.
Discussing about the Association’s orientation in 2020, one of delegates proposed that the Association needs to expand its membership in the districts of Tra Vinh province, and fundraise to help it run more effectively.

“Basing on the achievement in 2019, the Association is going to continue to promote initiatives and flexibility in research activities, and enhance the effectiveness of investment cooperation to contribute to the socio-economic development of the province, the region and the country”, said Mr. Kim Sang, Vice Chairman of the Association.
