“Covid-19 Global Challenges – The Economic and Financial Dimensions” by the Online International Scientific Conference

On December 15, scientists from Tra Vinh University participate in an online international conference to share perspectives on the Covid-19 pandemic to contribute, share research experiences, and look for solutions and new directions for the economy and finance of Vietnam and the world.

This conference has 20 leading universities in Europe, Asia and America, organized by Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) – Ireland, University of Limerick (UL) – Ireland, Open University of Catalonia (OUC) – Spain, University of Pau and the Adour Region (UPPA) – France.

The conference shares scientist’s perspectives on the Covid-19 pandemic on a global scale with the aim of contributing, sharing research experiences, and looking for solutions and new directions for the economy and finance of the world in general as well as of Vietnam in particular.

There were three papers from Tra Vinh University (TVU) contributing to the conference, including:

“The Impact of Covid-19 in Vietnamese Enterprises and Sustainable Development”, by lead author Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hong Ha, Deputy Head of the Economics and Law Faculty.

“The Impact of Covid-19 on the Banking Sector: A credit Risk Analysis in the Context of Vietnam”, by lead author Ph.D.’s Candidate, MA Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, Acting Head of Accounting Department.

“Developing Inclusive Finance and Economic Resilience Post-Covid-19 – The Case of Vietnam”, by lead author Ph.D. Bui Thanh Long, Deputy Head of Accounting Department.

In the context of challenges and opportunities from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, scientists said that COVID-19 has drawn many valuable lessons for humanity and new adaptive solutions for the economies of the world and Vietnam in post-pandemic condition.
