On August 7, 2022, Tra Vinh University had a meeting with leaders of the Department of Education, Department of Health of Svay Rieng province, and more than 20 principals of high schools in Svay Rieng on graduate and undergraduate training programs.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice Rector of Tra Vinh University and Standing Committee of the International Admissions Committee, had an introduction about the training majors, progress information about Cambodian students studying at the university, and answered questions from Cambodian high schools.
At the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice President of Tra Vinh University shared: Over the years, the University has completed its mission of training high-quality human resources for the Mekong Delta region and the whole country. With the desire to reach the international level and provide labor resources to meet the trend of international integration, Tra Vinh University has continuously improved the training quality through international education quality accreditations, such as FIBAA, AUN – QA, and ABET. Currently, with 12 internationally accredited training programs and the ABET-accredited IT programs, Tra Vinh University is leading the Mekong Delta region in the number of internationally accredited programs.
Mr. Kong Sam Oeun, Principal of Romeas Hek High School shared: The medical training quality at Tra Vinh University is first-class. Graduates achieve proficient skills to meet people’s medical examination and treatment needs. Specifically, students in the School of Medicine and Pharmacy of Tra Vinh University are currently working in the medical field of Svay Rieng province and opening a clinic to serve the medical examination and treatment needs of the Cambodian people.
Currently, there are more than 10 alumni of Tra Vinh University working in the health system of Svay Rieng province, receiving positive feedback from the people and leaders of the Department of Health of Svay Rieng province. This shows that the training quality of the University, especially the medical sector, has very well met the labor needs of Svay Rieng province in particular and Cambodia in general.
Representative of Svay Rieng Department of Education and Training, Mr. Sann Neang from the Department’s Office, said that he had a business trip to Tra Vinh University in 2018. After seeing the development of the current training scale and quality of the university, Mr. Sann Neang believes that Tra Vinh University will continue to expand training cooperation and enrollment in Cambodia, he is also willing to create the best conditions for the university to connect and enroll high schools in Svay Rieng province.
On August 8, the delegation of Tra Vinh University visited and worked with the Principal of Hun Sen Chek High School in Svay Rieng province. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diep Thanh Tung had a meeting with leaders of Hun sen Chek School and 12th-grade students to introduce careers and study opportunities at Tra Vinh University.
