TVU – On January 12, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh, Chairman of Tra Vinh University’s Council, heads the 5th meeting, to discuss a number of significant TVU tasks for 2023 and the 2023–2025 period.
Mr. Le Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of Tra Vinh Provincial People’s Committee, member of the TVU Council, leader of the advisory council, and representative of TVU’s units were present at the meeting.
In this meeting, members of the School Council heard the report on the strategic plan for the development of TVU; through the system of targets for the performance of annual tasks of Tra Vinh University.
The TVU Board approves the financial contents, including the 2022 financial report and the 2023 financial plan; plans to invest and use assets of great value in the period of 2023 – 2025.
Report on the implementation of the decision of the School Council to establish the School of Economics and Law about the organization of the apparatus, personnel, and arrangement of facilities; consider the contents related to the organization of Tra Vinh University’s apparatus in the establishment, separation, merger, and dissolution in 2023.
The Council gives opinions and approves the reports of the Rector, including the report on transferring the community service function of the Science and Technology Department to the Community Service Center for implementing and managing; the proposal for the policy of establishing new units and renaming units under Tra Vinh University; Proposal for the establishment of the TVU Institute of Biotechnology on the basis of the Center for Biotechnology (under the School of Agriculture and Aquaculture); the report on the promulgation of the School’s Working Regulations under Tra Vinh University.
The meeting received many opinions, discussions and contributions from the TVU Advisory Council, leaders of units under the University, members of the University Council related to the strategic tasks and development of Tra Vinh University in the new period; some comments on the implementation of the Tra Vinh University Development Project became an advanced university, additional comments on goals and key tasks for the period of 2023 – 2025 and agreed on a number of contents according to the report of the TVU Rector.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh, Chairman of the University Council, said that 2023 is the beginning of a new period, many activities achieved positive results, showing that Tra Vinh University is on the right track to the set goals. In 2023, continue to implement important tasks according to the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh directed relevant units to supplement and consider implementation in each specific phase. The important and urgent contents were contributed by delegates such as building happiness indicators, building a learning environment for students to develop comprehensively to meet the needs of society, and so on; request the University Board to study and include in the plan of direction and implementation in the coming time.
