On May 18th, 2012, English Department of Tra Vinh University (TVU) held a sharing workshop on writing a professional journal in English. At the workshop, Ms. Violet Marie Kupersmith, an English Teaching Assistant of Fulbright shared her experiences on writing a professional paper in English for publishing in international professional journals such as procedures of writing a paper, structure of a paper, how to write the citation, the titles, etc.
Ms. Violet Marie Kupersmith and the lecturers of the English Department also discussed on selecting a topic, the academic writing style, searching for reliable resources from the Internet and popular professional journals, etc.
Studied at Mount Holyoke College –Massachusetts, the United States, Ms. Violet came to TVU to work in the framework of English Teaching Assistant Porgram from September 2011 to the end of May 2012. During her stay at TVU, besides teaching English and developing teaching materials with the lecturers of the English Department, she also participated into many activities such as giving presentations at the workshops on the U.S and American Culture for students of English major, supporting the English club, having performances at the musical shows of the Faculty, etc.
In the evening of the same day, before Ms. Violet finished her working at TVU, English Department held a friendly meeting to say goodbye with her.
