On August 4, 2022, the TVU Logistics and E-commerce Training Center
delegation, led by Dr. Le Thi Thu Diem, visited and worked at Mekong Ocean
Shipping Agency LLC; Cantho Port Co., LTD; Hau Giang Maritime Service
LLC; and Cantho Information and Communications Technology Center.
The TVU delegation was given an overview of company operations at Mekong Ocean
Shipping Agency LLC. Additionally, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hien, Director of Mekong
Ocean Shipping Agency LLC, presented some of the company's successful Logistics
projects and provided career guidance to TVU students majoring in Logistics.
Dr. Le Thi Thu Diem, Director of the center, discussed with the company on the
evolving orientation for TVU Logistics and E-commerce Training Center as well as
potential future cooperation opportunities. Through the work session, she also
expressed a desire to engage with Mekong Agency to support Tra Vinh University in
establishing internships and learning opportunities for TVU students in the field of
Logistics.
Furthermore, leaders of TVU Logistics and E-commerce Training Center visited
functional divisions and the unloading process at Cai Cui port in Cai Rang, Can Tho;
and Hau Giang port in Chau Thanh, Hau Giang.
Nguyen Nhu Ngoc Boi, a student of Logistics Service Management class of 2020,
shared that the excursion brought several beneficial experiences and exposure to the
real working environment at Logistics agencies, allowing students to determine
concrete career directions for themselves in the future.
TVU Logistics and E-commerce Training Center hoped that there would be more
chances to cooperate with Cantho Port Co., LTD and Hau Giang Maritime Service
LLC within the field of Logistics service management in the Co-op training program,
bringing students closer to the real working environment.
Mr. Vo Thanh Phong, General Director of Hau Giang Maritime Service LLC (VIMC
Hau Giang), expressed his appreciation for Tra Vinh University and his expectation
that the two organizations would work together to develop high quality human
resources to satisfy all the needs of Logistics businesses in the current market.
Later that day, the TVU delegation had a work session at Cantho Information and
Communications Technology Center. Mr. Nguyen Tien Phuc, Head of
Administration-Training Department of the center, welcomed the delegation at the
meeting. Dr. Le Thi Thu Diem expressed her gratitude to the center for supporting
five E-commerce students during their internships there.
