TVU – On April 17, 2022, Tra Vinh University welcomed more than 1,000 students and teachers from the high schools in different provinces, including Tra Vinh, Ben Tre, Soc Trang, Tien Giang, Dong Thap, and Kien Giang, to come and experience student life at Tra Vinh University through many interesting activities with the university’s teachers and students.
The activity is regularly organized to allow high school students to experience the practical learning and researching activities with Tra Vinh university students. This activity of Tra Vinh University attracted the presence of more than 1,000 students and teachers from high schools in 06 provinces, including Bui Huu Nghia High School, Tra Vinh Pedagogical Practice School, Tra Cu District Ethnic Boarding Secondary School & High School (Tra Vinh province); Tam Nong High School, Phu Thanh A High School, Dong Thap Center for Continuing Education (Dong Thap Province); Le Van Pham High School (Tien Giang province); An Thoi High School (Ben Tre province); Tran De Secondary School and High School (Soc Trang Province); and Nam Thai Son High School (Kien Giang province).
Mr. Tran Minh Tien – the Secretary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Tra Vinh Pedagogical Practice School, said: “This is an exciting and useful activity, helping students approach reality, directly participate in learning, practice, and experiment activities as a student of Tra Vinh University. Through this experience day, the students have clearer orientations and become more confident in making decisions for their future career.”
Student Kim Hoang happily shared: “This morning, my friends and I set off early. We were all tired because of the long journey. However, right after arriving at the campus of Tra Vinh University, we felt comfortable. Tra Vinh University campus is very cool with full of trees surrounded. Students and teachers of the university were friendly welcoming and guiding us during the visit. The school’s faculties are very large with different types of equipment and experimental areas. We were also given a detailed introduction to the school disciplines. Thanks to useful information that I learned from the visit, I am more confident in making decisions for my favorite major in the future.”
Mr. Nguyen Dong Khoi, the permanent member of the Admissions Advisory Board, said: “In the past time, Tra Vinh University has focused on investing in many specific industries, expanding new branches in the direction of diversification, closely linking with the businesses and the demand for quality human resources for economic and social development in the region. In addition to training 51 undergraduate majors, the school has 27 majors at the master’s level, 10 majors at the doctoral level, and 5 specialized training majors at level 1: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, and Odonto -Stomatology.
The generations of Tra Vinh University teachers and students have aimed for a comprehensive and friendly green university for the community. At the same time, jointly create friendly and effective learning and research environment in an open-liberal education ecosystem with the motto: “Bringing quality learning opportunities to the community.”
On this occasion, Tra Vinh University gladly welcomes teachers and students from 22 high schools in 5 provinces, including Bac Lieu, Soc Trang, Vinh Long, Ben Tre, and Tra Vinh, to attend the 1st Chemistry Olympiad – TVU in 2022, organized for students at grades 11 and 12 of the high schools in the Mekong Delta.
| Tra Vinh University has 13 programs that reached international education accreditation according to AUN-QA, FIBAA, and ABET quality standards. Among them, 05 training programs are meeting AUN-QA international quality standards, including Agriculture, Fisheries, Veterinary Medicine under the School of Agriculture and Fisheries; Nursing under the School of Medicine and Pharmacy; the Khmer language belongs to the School of Southern Khmer Language, Culture and Arts and 07 programs reached the FIBAA international education accreditation, including Business Administration, Economy, Law, Accounting and Finance, Master of Business Administration, Master of Economic Management from the School of Economics and Law. The information technology industry under the School of Engineering and Technology has accredited ABET and been continuing to expand the AUN, ABET, and FIBAA international education accreditation for the remaining disciplines of the university. |
