Seminar on technology application in treating Shrimp pond water

(TVU) – On January 17, 2024, at the Institute of Biotechnology (IBT), Tra Vinh University held a consultation workshop with relevant parties took place on the Project “Seminar on technology application in treating Shrimp pond water”.

The workshop brought together participants from Liège University, there was Pr. Benoît Henri J; Pr. Alain Francis C; Pr. David Roger D; Pr. Célia Da D and Pr. Sophie Lise L, along with experts from the University of Liège, the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, branches, departments and especially with the participation of more than 30 shrimp farming households in the province.

On the Tra Vinh University side, there was Associate Professor PhD. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice Principal; PhD. Nguyen Tan Tai, Head of the Faculty of Applied Chemistry, and representative of leaders of subordinate unit leaders of the university.

Speaking at the conference, Associate Professor PhD. Diep Thanh Tung, Vice Principal of the school, said: “The conference is an opportunity to connect domestic and foreign scientists to promote cooperation, share knowledge and offer specific solutions to improve production performance in the shrimp farming industry, protecting the water environment. This is an important activity to complete the project profile of Seminar on technology application in treating Shrimp pond water in the cooperation program of the University of Liège and the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City and Tra Vinh University.”







On this occasion, experts conducted a survey of the situation of shrimp farming households, answered questions that households were facing, and discussed appropriate solutions.
