Signing a cooperation agreement between Tra Vinh University and the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam

TVU – On May 18, at Tra Vinh University, a cooperation agreement signing ceremony took place between Tra Vinh University (TVU) and Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV).

Attending the signing ceremony, on the side of BIDV, there were Mr. Pham Ngoc Lam – Director of BIDV, Mr. Doan Trong Tin, and Mr. Dang Minh Tu – Deputy Director of BIDV, management departments and experts of the Bank.

On the side of Tra Vinh University, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa – Rector of the University, Dr. Thach Thi Dan – Vice-Rector of the University, leaders, officials, and units of the University.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa mentioned in his speech that BIDV, one of Vietnam’s major commercial banks, offers a diverse range of products and services. These include loan support with preferential interest rates for University employees, officials, and students. He also noted that TVU is actively involved in international cooperation programs, creating an interesting demand for loans among students studying abroad and overseas students. Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa expressed his high appreciation and gratitude to BIDV for their past cooperation, which involved student internships, scholarship sponsorship, and participation in international and educational quality accreditation. The Rector emphasized that the signing ceremony signifies the potential and strength of both parties, paving the way for long-term and sustainable cooperation.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Lam, Director of BIDV, expressed that BIDV is actively involved in education, training, scientific research, and technology development to contribute to the country’s socio-economic progress in the knowledge economy. Recognizing the significance of talented young individuals for business success, BIDV consistently takes tangible steps to nurture and cultivate their abilities. Mr. Lam anticipated that the collaboration with TVU would provide valuable opportunities for students to gain practical skills and capabilities through internships. Additionally, it would support university officials, employees, and workers in accessing loan services with favorable policies. He also expressed the hope for stronger cooperation between the two parties, leading to expanded and improved agreements in the future.

The two parties signed a comprehensive agreement: BIDV will offer services to TVU, including funding for renovations, facility utilization, and scholarships for university students. BIDV gives priority to implementing policies and mechanisms for exempting or reducing service fees according to its regulations. Additionally, BIDV will provide artificial intelligence technology for TVU students to pay tuition fees through the online software system. Both organizations will collaborate on community volunteering and social work initiatives to enhance the reputations of TVU and BIDV.
