Signing memorandum of understanding with MEDEZE Vietnam company Limited

On March 11, 2021, representatives of MEDEZE Vietnam Company Limited (Stem Cell Storage Bank) led by Mr. Joseph G. Rifkin visit and work with Tra Vinh University to discuss on cooperation opportunities in the research and development of stem cell therapy in human health care.

Welcoming the delegation, there are Assoc. Prof.  Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh -Rector of Tra Vinh University, Ph.D. Vo Hoang Khai and Ms. Thach Thi Dan – Vice-Rectors of Tra Vinh University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Tan Son – Chairman of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy and teachers from departments and Tra Vinh University hospital.

At the meeting, Mr. Joseph expresses his hope to set up a laboratory specializing in stem cell culture at the University in form of PPP (public-private partnership). MEDEZE will support costs of constructing the laboratory and investing in the necessary equipment for stem cell laboratory Step 1, then developing to Step 2.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh is very excited to be a cooperation partner of MEDEZE. From Tra Vinh University, the Department of Replication Medicine will be established at the earliest time to prepare necessary legal documents for the construction of a stem cell laboratory. At the end of the meeting, two sides sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to implement cooperation contents.
